Cone Air Filter - How To / Konický filtr vzduchu - Návod

I made a good experinece with the cone filter, so I installed it into my father's car too. Here comes simple photo How-To:

1. Original state of the air filter assembly
2. This is the restriction of the original air intake
3. Paper filter status after 35.000 km
4. Removed and disassemble the air filter assembly
5. Engine without the air filter assembly
6. Airbox bottom will be used as the thermal shield. Remove or cut out the inner pipe
7. Cover the pipe hole
8. Water-installation pipe perfectly fits the filter
9. Cut the pipe and mount it into the original intake pipe. Cover the hole from the second small airbox pipe
10. Mount the filter. In the Matiz I, there is necessary to mount the intake air temperature sensor into the grey pipe. Matiz II has the sensor behind the thortle
11. Shape the alu-pipe to route the air from the bumper
12. This Matiz is without the power steering and A/C. So the routing was easy. In case of more equipped model, route the alu-pipe more complicated way :-/

14. Tight the filter not to vibrate
15. Well done!

FAQ

• Is it street legal? Yes (in the Czech Republic), the filter doesn't harm the emissions of the car, so there is no reason.
• Does it void the car's warranty? No (in the Czech Republic), GM Daewoo dealer told me, that this modification isn't reason for voiding the car's waranty.

Po dobrých osobních zkušenostech jsem se rozhodl zamontovat konický filtr vzduchu i do otcova Matize. Celý postup byl zaznamenán, takže přináším jednoduchý obrázkový návod:

1. Originální stav sestavy filtru vzduchu
2. Takhle je originální sání seškrceno
3. Stav papírového filtru po 35.000 km
4. Odmontovaná a rozebrená sestava filtru
5. Motor kompletně bez sestavy filtru a trubky sání
6. Dno airboxu bude použito jako teplený štít. Vnitřní trubku vyjměte nebo uřežte
7. Otvor po trubce zaslepte
8. Instalatérská spojka pásne do filtru jako ulitá
9. Spojku uřežte a zamontujte do původní trubky sání. V původní trubce je nutno zaslepit kolínko pro hadičku, která vedla do airboxu
10. Připojte filtr. V Matizu I je potřeba do spojky zamontovat čidlo teploty vzduchu v sání. Matiz II má čidlo až za klapkou
11. Z alu-flex roury vytvarujte sání vzduchu od nárazníku
12. Tento Matiz je bez serva i klimatizace, takže to šlo hladce. Pokud máte luxusnější model, bude zřejmě nutno vést alu rouru složitěji
13. Detail vstupní části alu roury
14. Zajistěje filtr proti vibracím stahovacími páskami
15. A je to!

Časté otázky

• Budu mít problém na STK? Ne, filtr neovlivňuje emise, takže není důvod. Osobně jsem STK prošel s konusem bez potíží.
• Bude zachována záruka na auto? Ano, podle vyjádření distributora GM Daewoo není taková úprava důvodem k zániku záruky.
